CRIME STATISTICS

The Police Department compiles statistics on a monthly basis with a running total for the year.  When comparing the numbers to previous years, the department can identify trends in criminal activity, as well as monitor individual officer activity.  In addition, statistics are provided to the Federal Bureau of Investigation to help determine crime rates on a national level, and are used to generate governmental grant monies to help support our departmental needs. 

These statistics are updated at the beginning of each month.  At the end of each quarter during the calendar year, a comparison format will be used to indicate current progressive activity versus activity from the same quarter of the previous year.
