Village Economic Development
The Village of Lexington, Ohio is a growing community of more than 4,500 residents that is located in North Central Ohio; centrally located within an eight county market area of over 625,000 people. Lexington is also strategically located along I-71 near US Route 30 and enjoys excellent north/south and east/west access to major population centers in northern and Midwest areas.
The Village is home to Stoneridge Manufacturing, one of the faster growing companies in Richland County, is a division of Stoneridge Corp., and one of the ten largest employers in Richland County, Ohio. Stoneridge is a supplier of automotive parts and components. Several other manufacturers including Next Generation Films, Inc., Swagelok., Complete Access and DECA Manufacturing help to drive our local economy. Also, larger regional employers such as Ohio Health, Lexington Local Schools and others provide employment opportunities for Village residents.
Lexington residents enjoy a location that offers numerous recreational opportunities including boating and fishing on nearby lakes, professional auto racing at two nearby venues, sking and snowboarding, hiking and camping, and other outdoor recreation facilities, as well as performing arts, museum, and professional spectator sports within easy driving distance.
The Lexington Community Improvement Corp (CIC) along with the Lexington Business and Growth Association (LBGA) encourage and support the development of new and existing businesses within the Village. The CIC takes an active role in assisting new businesses interested in the Community and helping existing businesses grow and expand. The LBGA assists local businesses with business development, marketing, community relations easier, and acts as a liaison between the business community and the Village.
