Public Notice: Floodplain Impacts Summary & Invitation for Public Comment
As part of our commitment to environmental stewardship and compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Floodplain Impacts Summary for the proposed Plymouth Street sidewalk project is now available for public review.
The Village of Lexington, in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), is proposing the construction of a new sidewalk along Plymouth Street, including a mid-block crosswalk, to connect Patriot Park on the west side of Plymouth Street to Lexington Park on the east. Project improvements include approximately 825 feet of new sidewalk and a new crosswalk.
The available documentation outlines potential project effects on local floodplains and details the proactive management strategies under consideration to mitigate any impacts. Community feedback is welcome. The Village will accept public comments until September 14th. Please email (admin@lexingtonohio.us) or call (419-884-0765) with your feedback.
